Two FC Halifax Town supporters have been convicted of possessing a firework or flare at the club’s FA Cup tie with MK Dons.
Vincent Baines, 35, of Dean Street, Greetland and Thomas Baines, 21, of Dearne Fold, Huddersfield, appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on November 26.
Vincent Baines pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a firework or flare at a sporting event and was given a three-year football banning order.
Thomas Baines pleaded guilty to the same charge. His sentencing was deferred until a later date.
The offences occurred during the MK Dons v FC Halifax Town FA Cup first round fixture at Stadium MK on Saturday, November 9 in which Town lost 4-1.
Both offenders were identified by stadium stewards and reported to police.
