TWO men charged with stealing €300,000 in an alleged business fraud have appeared in court again.
Ralph John Christie, 50, and John Michael Jessop, 48, are accused of making false representations to Benedict Clark to get the cash.
They allegedly convinced him he needed to invest the sum in a company, Varon AE, so it could be floated in the UK.
They deny theft, fraud by false representation and converting criminal property between September and October 2009.
Calderdale magistrates bailed Christie, of North Road, Ripon, until May 25 when he will appear at Bradford Crown Court.
Jessop, of Glenwood Villas in Horsforth, Leeds, was bailed until May 3 when he will be back at Calderdale Magistrates’ Court.
