Roads are open in Huddersfield town centre after an earlier chemical incident.
West Yorkshire Police were called shortly after 8.30am alongside other emergency services to a report that a man had substance thrown on him on Shorehead roundabout in Huddersfield.
The man was found in Wakefield Road and containment was quickly put in place as roads and the surrounding areas were closed off.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service sent two fire engines and specialist officers in protective suits.
The closure caused huge traffic congestion with commuters reporting miles of tailbacks.
West Yorkshire police confirmed that the man was taken to hospital, however, he showed no signs of illness as a result of what happened.
Anyone with information regarding the incident should call police on 101.
