UPDATED: Man mugged in Halifax this morning - victim suffered fractured eye socket in attack

DETECTIVES are investigating a mugging in Halifax in the early hours of today.

The 25-year-old was attacked on Lombard Street in King Cross at 4am by a gang of four men.

His mobile phone was stolen and he had to go to hospital for treatment.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who has information about the mugging.

They particularly want to hear from anyone who saw four men in the area acting suspiciously.
