A police car was badly damaged stopping a stolen car in Hebden Bridge.

The white Corsa had been taken in Keighley at 7am on Friday.

Police said it travelled out of West Yorkshire before returning to the county and being stopped by police on Burnley Road at around 8.30am.

No one was hurt but a police car was smashed stopping the car and both airbags in the Corsa had deployed.

Two police cars were involved in following the stolen car.

The police helicopter was also called out to help track it.

A man is thought to have run from the car and tried to hide under bushes in Colden Close.

Two others are believed jumped over a wall at Colden Water and then headed towards Rochdale Canal.

Two males- aged 15 and 20- have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are understood to be looking for a third person.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police via 101.
