UPDATED: Three teens charged by police after town centre crime spree

Police have charged three teens in connection with a crime spree in the town centre.

The trio, Ryan Ledingham, Pierce Kaye - both 19 - and 18-year-old Nathan Holcroft, all from Halifax a have been charged by police with a number of offences in connection to an incident whereby charity boxes were stolen from the Borough Market yesterday morning. (Friday)Police were also called to a disturbance at Akeds Road at 7.49am, they were then called again at 7.57am after property was stolen from a man’s car in Bull Green.

Police tied the two incidents together thanks to CCTV before receiving further complaints in the town centre.

They have also been arrested in connection with damage to shop windows in the town centre, and the assault of people who tried to prevent the theft of the charity box.

The three men will appear at Calderdale Magistrates Court on Monday morning.
