A WOMAN whose baby was found dead in a bin bag in Barkisland six years ago has appeared in court.
Angela Owen, 46, of Glastonbury, appeared at Calderdale Magistrates Court today charged with trying to conceal her baby’s birth by hiding its dead body.
She was also charged with three counts of dishonestly obtaining services, two counts of dishonestly obtaining property and one count of conspiracy to defraud.
She was remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, June 11.
The baby boy’s body was found in the garden of The Howroyd stately home in Krumlin Road, Barkisland in July 2006.
