Violent mugging in Huddersfield town centre last night

A man was the victim of a violent mugging in Huddersfield town centre last night.

The 19 year old man was walking on St George’s Street towards the bus station between 9.30pm and 10.07pm when he was approached by two men.

The first man pushed him against the wall and demanded property before hitting him.

The second man then hit him twice as the first one took his belongings.

The two men officers want to speak to in connection with the incident are described as black, aged about 20, about 6ft tall and dressed in dark clothing.

Any witnesses are asked to contact Huddersfield CID on 101.
