Woman admits to being drunk and disorderly

A 44-year-old woman was granted a 12-month conditional discharge after pleading guilty to drunk and disorderly behaviour at Calderdale Magistrates Court.

Tracey Mitchell of Highcliffe Court, Halifax, was arrested on July 6 following an incident at the Courtyard pub at Wards End, Halifax.

Police were called when one of Mitchell’s companions was involved in an argument outside of the bar.

Mitchell admitted she grabbed one of the police officers and to shouting abuse as her companion was arrested.

She said: “I’m sorry and I’m so ashamed of myself - I’m totally embarrassed to be here.”

Mitchell was ordered to pay £85 costs and £15 victim surcharge.
