A Huddersfield woman accused of stealing almost £14,000 from a Halifax department store is to stand trial next year.

Kathleen Baldacchino, 36, pleaded not guilty to the theft allegation when she appeared before a judge at Bradford Crown Court.

Baldacchino, of Quarry Bank Mill, Stoney Lane, has been charged with stealing £13,829.95 from Rawson Street store Harveys between May 2002 and December 2012.

During a hearing before Judge Robert Bartfield today it was confirmed that her trial, which could last up to five days, would start on June 15.

Baldacchino had her bail extended until the trial.
