Crocuses make an early show in the park

MORE than 100,000 crocuses have blossomed into a pretty picture at Manor Heath Park, Halifax.

The flowers were planted a few years ago in a park project and this is the best year yet, according to estate manager Paul Marshall, pictured.

He said: “They’re looking better each year. They’ve come up a bit earlier this year, even with the colder weather. They look absolutely magnificent at the moment.”
