The Century of Cycling exhibition at Bankfield Museum attracted nearly 5,000 visitors between June 7 and August 9.

The event was created to tie-in with this summer’s Grand Depart and had exhibits by artists Michelle Campbell, Jane O’Neill, Kate Lycett and Lucy Hobbs.

There was £1,340 generated from picture sales to support the artists, while £779 was collected in the museum’s donation box.

Paintings by John Holland, photographs by Fay Godwin and Martin Parr were also exhibited, while there were family learning activities, a children’s drawing competition and visitors were invited to ride on exercise bikes provided by Calderdale Sports Services.
