Cyclist thrown from bike in Leeds crash

Police in Leeds are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which occurred at 9:25am this morning (Friday) on Gelderd Road in Leeds.

A blue Peugeot 406 was in collision with a Silver Mini travelling in the direction of Leeds.

During the incident a cyclist was struck and thrown from their bike. The 28-year-old male rider was subsequently taken Leeds General Infirmary with a serious injury.

Any witnesses to the incident or anyone who saw the movements of the vehicles prior to the collision is asked to contact the non emergency number 101.
