ELEVEN-year-old dancer Darcie Kelly has won a place at the Northern Contemporary Ballet School, Leeds.

She is a student of Miss Angela’s Dance and Performing Arts, Halifax.

“Darcie came to my dance school aged eight with no previous training and has never looked back,” said teacher Angela Marshall. “She has a natural flair for performing arts and excels in all aspects of dance.

“Ballet is her favourite subject and she would like to pursue this as her career.”

Darcie, of Savile Park, Halifax, is a pupil at Brooksbank School, Elland.

She is currently attending Royal Ballet School Mid Associates classes and later this summer joins the ballet school.
