Detectives probe two arson attacks on BMWs in Keighley this morning

Police are investigating two arson attacks on BMWs in Keighley in the early hours of today.

The first took place at around 1am on Devonshire Street where a BMW 5 series car was damaged by flames.

The second happened just a few hours later, at around, 4am on Malsis Road where a BMW X5 is suspected to have been set on fire deliberately.

Forensic inquiries are ongoing to determine the precise cause of the fires.

Detective Inspector Mark Long, of Airedale and North Bradford CID, said: “We are investigating two arson attacks on BMW cars overnight in Keighley and are appealing for anyone who witnessed the offences or has information to come forwards.

“Inquiries are at an early stage and we are keeping at open mind as to the circumstances of the incidents.

“Clearly this sort of dangerous behaviour is utterly unacceptable and I would ask anyone who has information to contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 101.
