SPECIALIST officers investigating a report of a serious sex attack in Halifax town centre are appealing for witnesses.
As reported in yesterday’s Courier, the alleged assault happened in the car park near Halifax Town Hall in Crossley Street – pictured – at around 2am on Sunday.
Detectives from West Yorkshire Police’s dedicated sex attack investigation team Operation Topaz are leading the inquiry and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The team comprises officers and staff specifically trained to investigate reports of serious sex assaults.
