A man has been banned from driving for 28 days after he spat at another motorist.

Mohammed Shabaz, 25, of Prospect Street in Huddersfield, admitted spitting on Catherine McCullagh’s hand and dress after their cars narrowly avoided a crash on the ring road around Huddersfield.

Shabaz’s solicitor Philip Cockcroft told Calderdale magistrates that Shabaz has behaved recklessly and that he had been having “a bad day at the office” when the offence occurred.

As well as the ban, he must do 120 hours unpaid work and fined £165.
