Drunks fined in Halifax town centre

OFFICERS arrested two people after complaints about anti-social drinking in Halifax town centre.

They were flagged down on Saturday afternoon by someone concerned about the behaviour of a group of 10 people.

A 23-year-old woman and 42-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and fined.

Halifax Central neighbourhood policing team is warning it will not tolerate alochol-fuelled anti-social behaviour.
