It’s the second half of Come Dine for SmartMove and businesses with a conscience are backing the culinary come charitable campaign.

Proprietors are participating in the campaign to support the local charity that provides accommodation and services for homeless and vulnerably housed families and individuals in Calderdale.

After the successful first serving of the month-long campaign in which residents were asked to host a Come Dine for SmartMove dinner party, the second serving will focus on dining out at participating restaurants.

We’ve asked restaurants, pubs and cafes to back the Dine out for SmartMove initiative by donating £1 for every dining party seated between October 26 - November 10.

Supporting Michael Ricci of Ricci’s Place, Halifax, said: “We try to do what we can for local charities in our town. If everyone had that approach; the world would be a better place.”

SmartMove chief executive Stuart Rumney said: “We’re really pleased with the amazing support we’ve had from the local community so far. Each day more and more pubs and restaurants are getting on board for the second part of Come Dine For SmartMove.

Participating restaurants include:

Halifax: Design House, Harveys, The Lounge Cafe, Ricci’s Place, Sultan Mahal, Ziggy’s Spice House
