CHURCHGOERS braved the snow for an education service.
Education Sunday is an annual event held at Halifax Minster.
Parkinson Lane School and Calderdale Music Services entertained the crowds before a lessons were read by David Warley.
Vicar Hilary Barber, who led the service, said: “Historically the CofE was the main provider of education in the country.
“Nowadays there are still plenty of church schools and the church is committed to working with community schools.
“We bring together pupils, staff, parents and governors for this celebration event - it is particularly pertinent at a time when there are huge changes in education.”
