plate spinning, stilt walking and hula-hooping were all on the curriculum for these children at Elland C of E School.
Parents and children were invited in for an afternoon workshop to show how youngsters benefit from interacting with their parents.
Hayley Walker, learning mentor at Elland C of E, said: “We had 13 families who were shown what to do and then had a go themselves.
“The parents had as much fun as the children.”
The session was the first of three which form part of the family learning passport, which the school hopes will earn them the Leading Parent Partnership Award. Next week the group will try scientific experiments.
