Bankers clean up school

Bankers helped clean up a school as part of a volunteering scheme.

Eight workers from Lloyds Banking Group’s Copley branch teamed up as part of the ‘A day to make a difference’ project, which encourages employees to help out in the community.

Benefiting was All Saints J&I School in Halifax, which required a spot of work on some of its rusty railings.

Volunteer Colin Harrison said: “I think it just gives us a chance to give something back into the community, rather than banks being seen as the bad boys of the UK – especially with what’s been going on over the past few years.”
