THE steel frames are up, the roofs are in place and the £6 million extension to Calderdale College is well on the way.
Work began on site in November and should be completed in time for the start of the new term this September.
It will provide students with a new teaching block, a computer centre, a sports hall, fitness suite and dance studio. There will be an all-weather pitch on the rugby fields, available for community use, and a new entrance and atrium is to be added to the west side of the existing building in Francis Street.
The old accommodation will be partially refurbished and decorated throughout.
