Former politician turned TV celebrity Edwina Currie visited the Focus on Food education centre at Dean Clough, Halifax, to teach people how to cook her favourite curry.
It was part of the 5by25 national campaign which aims to enable all young people to master at least five dishes by the age of 25. The Strictly Come Dancing star’s simple but tasty lamb curry was pitted against a shepherd’s pie produced by fellow celebrity and TV presenter Ben Shephard. Both are being judged via the campaign website www.5by25.com. Focus on Food was set up in 1998 to help reverse the decline in cooking ability.
