Children at Salterhebble School, Halifax, were given a breakfast treat as part of a national food campaign.
Around 80 children, as well as parents and teachers, took on the “Wake up, Shake up” challenge, which encourages children to take part in physical activity every day.
The national scheme aims to give children 10-minute bursts of exercise to help stimulate their readiness to learn.
Although the exercise can be done at any time of the day, the school decided to hold the session after its popular breakfast club.
Carroll Wood, deputy head at the school, said: “We have a breakfast club twice a week but it was fantastic to see so many children attending on this special day.”
