Sports superstar Kevin Sinfield made an appearance at a Halifax school offering pupils an insight into the world of Rugby League.
The current Leeds Rhinos and England captain showed up at Trinity Academy in Holmfield when he shared his experiences and tips with students preparing to embark on a Rugby League challenge of their own.
School children will be taking part in a friendly match later this month, which has seen them solely organise their own team in conjunction with a Sky TV televised project. Steve Evans, senior vice principal at the school, said: “The programme has been a wonderful project for students, and they were thrilled to learn that Kevin Sinfield would be paying them a visit.
“Kevin’s visit has helped to inspire the team, as not only have they heard some of his tips for winning, they have also had the privilege of receiving training on developing the kicking element of their game.”
