Year 5 pupils at All Saints Primary School in Halifax made a huge paperchain to raise funds for two charities close to the classmates’ hearts.

Pupils spent the morning making the 1,006-metre paperchain and raised over a £1,000 for Bone Cancer Research Trust and an orphanage in Central America.

George Baxter, 10, said: “I tried hard because I wanted to raise money for the charities that are important to our class.”
