Pupils had the sweet taste of success after they scooped prizes at the National Honey Show.

The Bee Club at Scout Road Academy, Mytholmroyd, won two first and two second prizes at the show. The club came first in the ‘Composite Class for Schools’ and ‘An exhibition of Beecraft by Junior Schools or Youth groups’ and second in the ‘Video or DVD on a Beekeeping Subject’ and ‘Two Jars of Honey produced by a School Apiary’.

The show is the UK’s premier honey show and was held last month at St George’s College in Surrey.
