Sixth-form pupils from Ravenscliffe High School, Halifax, visited Calderdale Food Drop-In Centre, Pellon Lane, to take food donations given by Ravenscliffe students in the run up to the celebration of Harvest Festival.

The Ebenezer Church food bank was one of the school’s appeal beneficiaries - another charity that benefited from Ravenscliffe’s Harvest Festival Appeal was homeless charity SmartMove. Pupils raised £219 for the charity from a school copper coin collection.

Sixth-form students, who would usually be in recycling class, visited and delivered the food to the centre that gives food parcels out to disadvantaged people, every Saturday.
