Ainsley Harriott cooked up a soup-erb storm at Savile Park Primary School, Halifax.
The celebrity chef, known for his time on Ready, Steady, Cook, showed children how to create some simple yet wholesome soup.
Soup has been the dish of the month for Year 3 and 4 pupils who have been learning about the different vegetables and how they’re grown.
On a supermarket trip, pupils also learnt about the maufacturing and packaging processes of soup.
In bringing the topic to the boil, Ainsley Harriott demonstrated how to make a winter vegetable soup and flat breads with herbs.
He said: “Soup is a great starting dish for children to learn to cook. It’s simple - it only takes one pan; it’s cost effective and it’s wholesome - there’s no preservatives; you know exactly what’s going into to it which is important for children to be aware of from a young age.”
