Pupils from Rawson Junior and Infant School in Halifax showed off their creative design ahead of the annual Norland Scarecrow Trail.

The school will be submitting it’s Wallace and Gromit design as part of the competition - which will run from September 6 to September 9.

This year’s theme for the festival is films and the event expects to attract some 80 scarecrows.

Every school in Calderdale has been invited to add to the scarecrow count. Now in its 14th year the event is organised by the Norland community to raise funds for the village.
