Hipperholme and Lightcliffe High School hosted its annual Health and Social Care Promotion, organised by year 10 and 12 BTEC students.
Students created an event which raised awareness of smoking and drinking; skin cancer and melanoma; and mental health.
School examinations officer, Karen Rawling, said: “The groups worked extremely hard to raise awareness and to secure sponsorship from local businesses.”
Students raised £893 for their chosen charities: The Macular Society; Cancer Research and Mind Charity - and still money is being collected. Students and staff wish to thank sponsors for their generosity.
