School life: Crime writing duo visit school's Bridgestock Competition winners

Crime Writers Bob and Carol Bridgestock visited Hipperholme Grammar School recently to award the winners in this year's Bridgestock Competition.

The competition is now in its third year and despite their busy schedule the couple were able to not only run a workshop for year nine pupils at the end of last year but also be on hand this year to meet the winners.

Runners-up Saffy Carroll and Sophie Noble wrote stories that in any other year could have won, but the standard this year was higher than ever with Nichola Backhouse being awarded the winner’s trophy.
