St Joseph’s is voted choir of the year

BRIGHOUSE Church Schools Choir of the Year competition was won by St Joseph’s Primary.

Other schools taking part were St Andrew’s Infants, St Andrew’s Juniors, St Chad’s Primary and St John’s Primary Academy.

St Martin’s Parish Church was packed for the competition which was attended by the Mayor of Calderdale Coun Nader Fekri.

In awarding the trophy to St Joseph’s the adjudicators praised the confidence of soloists and clarity of voices.

The Mayor congratulated all the choirs and said they had set a high standard.
