Steiner school receives its first inspection

The Calder Valley Steiner School has received a “Good” Ofsted report.

The school started providing primary education in September and has nine pupils in one class and 29 part-time in the Kindergarten.

It is based at St John’s Sunday School, Cragg Vale, and has staff who “show high levels of interest, care and enthusiasm for pupils which allows them pupils to make good progress in their learning”.

But the inspector decided that the school could provide “more opportunities for pupils to learn about contrasting cultures and communities.”
