Students take over top jobs for the day

A Trinity Academy student became top boss at Calderdale Royal Hospital when she shadowed the chief excutive Owen Williams for the day.

Maariya Mahmood took part in National Takeover Day run by The Children’s Commissioner. Mr Williams, said: “It was great to have Maariya with me all day. I hope she has learnt a little bit about life as a chief executive.”

Maariya said: “I really enjoyed the day it was an amazing experience to see how a big organisation works.”

Carr Green Primary School pupils also swapped places with school staff and Rastrick High sixth form student Grace Melaugh shadowed Craig Whittaker MP.
