Pupils at West Vale Primary were treated to a stunning show performed by West End actors as part of their continuing e-safety drive
West Vale Primary School pupils enjoyed ‘Jump to it’, an hour long show in which two main characters play computer games for so long they get dragged into them.
They then meet a host of characters from children’s books as they try and get out of the computer game.
The production demonstrated how books can contribute to personal development, as well as being a cautionary tale of becoming too involved in the digital world.
Rachel Kemp, headteacher at West Vale, said: “We had children from Reception through to Year 6 and they were all glued to the performance for the full hour. It was absolutely brilliant.”
“It re-enforces the e-safety message we’ve been trying to get across and the performance was so good that we’re going to try an get them back next year,” she said.
