THE number of formal complaints about councillors went up during 2009/10.
But according to Calderdale Council standards committee’s annual report, none of the eight cases involving district and parish councillors was judged serious enough to be thoroughly investigated by the council’s monitoring officer.
Committee chairman Hilary Barber said: “We continue to promote high standards, transparency and openness. The committee welcomes comments or questions from this report.”
These should be sent to Halifax Town Hall (01422 393063).
The committee comprises six Calderdale councillors, four town and parish councillors and five independents.
