Thieves have stolen at least £80 of specialist geraniums and petunias from displays at the bus stop in Ripponden village.
The plants had been displayed in large half whiskey barrels by member of Ripponden in Bloom.
“These barrels and wall planters are planted up and maintained by volunteers,” said chairwoman Jayne Smith.
“They were paid for out of group funds which have been raised over time from stalls, galas, festivals and by selling calendars and other merchandise.
Ripponden in Bloom is sickened by this wilful damage which affects many members as they give their time for free,” she said.
“These barrels contained specimen geraniums purchased for their colour specially for the Jubilee festivities and we hadn’t even paid for the verbena which was stolen from the wall planters!”
