Cycle challenge to raise money for Calderdale Royal Hospital's special baby care unit

The Special Care Baby Unit at Calderdale Royal Hospital will receive a boost thanks to an epic charity cycle. Andrew Cross, who works as an MRI radiographer at the hospital, wanted to directly help the unit in some way as his four-month-old baby son, Jake, had severe breathing difficulties at birth and received treatment there. To raise funds to update the unit’s breathing machines, Andrew and three of his friends embarked on a massive Geneva to Barcelona bike ride and raised nearly £7,000, which is enough to upgrade two machines in the hospital.
