A five-year-old girl from Halifax is hoping to cause a splash in her fundraising efforts for Overgate Hospice.
Evie Tasker, from Boothtown, will complete as many lengths as she can at Halifax Swimming Pool in aid of the hospice and her grandmaFreda, who died last year.
Evie’s mum Steph Bray said: “Her aim is about 12 lengths but she’s a fantastic swimmer and absolutely loves it.
“I’m very, very proud of her to be able to swim so well unaided at her age.
“She wanted to do something for Overgate as I do some work there and in memory of her grandma as she used to love seeing her swim.
“We thought we might get £100 but we’ve raised more than £250 so far.”
Evie will undertake the challenge 4 August.
