FC Halifax Town: Aspin fury at ref shocker
TOWN boss Neil Aspin watched his side get pegged back deep into injury time at Mossley last night and admitted that they should have seen out the game.
The Shaymen went 3-2 up with two minutes remaining only to concede in the fourth minute of added time.
But the real moment of controversy had come just before the break when Mossley had taken a 2-1 lead with a Steve Settle goal, initially ruled out by the linesman only for referee Bob Roberts to give it.

"It is definitely two points dropped," said Aspin. "But I was delighted with the players' attitude in the second half after getting a kick in the teeth before half time with the referee's decision to overrule his linesman.
"I told them not to feel sorry for themselves because there was nothing we could do about it.
"They had to show they have enough character and fighting spirit to get back in the game, which they did.
"Unfortunately we could not see out the game like we should have.
"There was everything in the game - good, bad, disappointment, pleasure.
"And a totally inept display by the officials which was really, really bad."
The Settle strike had the majority of the 400-plus crowd at Hurst Cross scratching their heads - and that included Aspin.
"I have never seen a referee overrule his linesman like that," he said. "Not after the linesman has held his flag up for so long
"Basically we stopped playing - and I know we shouldn't - because the linesman insisted it was offside."
Town now turn their attentions to Saturday's trip to Wakefield, with Aspin urging his players to confine last night's result to the history books.
"You are going to be disappointed in some games and we know what we should have done last night, unfortunately we didn't do it," he said
"As long as we show that spirit, especially if we are behind, everything is going to be fine."
Lancaster City increased their lead over the Shaymen to 10 points as they came from behind to beat Clitheroe 2-1 at the Giant Axe.
TOWN'S home game against Colwyn Bay has been re-arranged for Saturday
March 13, subject to the Shaymen's progress in the League Cup.
The home game with Clitheroe will now be played on Tuesday April 20.
