A Christmas fair was the crowning glory for a day of festive fundraising by members of the King’s Church at Park Road, Halifax.

The Mayor of Calderdale Pat Allen and her consort Robert Weeks were among the guests and met all of the stall holders and church Pastor, Paul McMahon, who gave them a tour of the building.

The fair included Santa’s Grotto crafts for the children, face-painting, a variety of beautifully made jewellery, knitted goods, hand-made sewn goods and handbags.

The Halifax Street Angels had a stall and there was also home-baking on the menu.

Organisers said they would like to thank Michael Walsh of Same Day Light Haulage in Halifax who helped with transportation at no cost at all to the church.
