Sowerby Bridge Fire and Water Project are appealing for the public’s help this Saturday for their clean up day from 9.30am until 6pm at the old swimming pool and fire station on Hollins Mill Lane.
The last event had almost 70 keen volunteers and board members who picked up brushes and wheel barrows in the name of preservation.
Without the help of the general public it is almost impossible to make any progress on the project as it is entirely run by local volunteers.
The project organisers would also like to meet local trades people who can donate materials or help.
The project aims to create a purpose built venue to provide community training and house arts, music and cultural events.
