West Yorkshire Fire Service received 139 calls during the 24-hour FBU (Fire Brigade Unnion) strike, which ended at 9am today.
A fire serive spokesperson said 54 incidents were attended across the county, with no emergencies going unattended.
Assistant Chief Fire Officer Dave Walton said: “All requests for assistance were met during this 24-hour period. The vast majority of incidents were of a minor nature, however, we attended one very serious incident. This was a road traffic collision involving four casualties, of which one person sadly proved fatal.”
Incidents that were attended a fire at a golf course club house in Wakefield, a motorbike fire in Seacroft, Leeds, a house fire with persons reported to be inside the property in Leeds, and a car fire in Baildon.
They also dealt with two lift rescues, one person locked in a changing room and a child with a highchair stuck on their head.
