Football - West Riding CA: Brighouse bank more points in title quest

BRIGHOUSE Town Reserves stretched their lead over title rivals Tyersal Reserves at the summit of Division Two after a 4-1 win at Dynamoes last night.

Town started well with Luke Guest causing the home sides problems, and when he whipped in a great cross Dale Hanson steered the ball home.

A Glen Hall penalty was saved after Jason Tiplady had been sent crashing but Guest doubled the lead with a drive into the bottom corner after a great five man move.

Town never really got to grips with two big home strikers but Dynamoes chances were still few and far between.

Tiplady produced a great finish to put the game out of Dynamoes' reach after the break and for the second time in four days Jordan Pettifor came off the bench and scored, firing home from 15 yards.

Dynamoes had their best spell and although keeper Jason Kirby saved a penalty given away by Darren Rudd, the home side were eventually rewarded for their efforts.
