Football - Ziggy's A Star Cars Halifax Sunday League: Waiters aim to deliver a shock
After two weekends dominated by cup action, the league takes centre stage again tomorrow with an almost full programme of fixtures.
However, Elland's activity in the National FA Sunday Cup last weekend - they beat Seaburn from Merseyside 1-0 - means that there is one more Halifax FA Cup second round game to be played with the champions taking on Division Two leaders Waiters Arms.
Waiters have won all seven matches this season and after despatching Premier side Brandy Wine 5-0 will not fear the holders.
Elland go into the game on the back of a five-match winning streak.
Premier Division leaders Spring Gardens bid to continue their fine run and extend their lead at the top by beating Mount Tabor.
However, Tabor have surprised a number of established Premier sides and will be looking to bounce back from their drubbing by FC Bowling Green last Sunday.
Bowling Green will hope last weekend's success will kick start their season. They look for back to back wins for the first time this season against Brandy Wine.
Greetland, currently third, could hit top spot with a convincing victory over King Cross, another team looking to bounce back from a disappointing result after succumbing to first division Jacks Bar.
The final two matches in the top flight involve surprise packages. Halifax Phoenix and Hollins Holme who were promoted at the end of the last campaign and sit proudly in the top half of the table.
Fifth placed Phoenix host a Royal Hotel side who seem to struggle in the league whilst excelling in the cup. Hollins welcome Southow-ram, who are also enjoying an excellent start to the campaign as they sit in fourth place.
In Division One, Stirk Bridge travel to Ovenden Amateurs in a top of the table clash, Stirk leading on goal difference.
However, the team to watch are Bradshaw, who are the only side in this division yet to taste defeat. They lie fifth, with maximum points from two games, and travel to Jacks Bar this weekend.
Third placed Shoulder Royd are away to a Copley Town side who have started slowly, possibly finding life in a higher division slightly tougher than they expected, whilst Carrington Rangers, another of the promoted sides, travel to Bradshaw Phoenix looking to climb from their second bottom position.
Bottom side Halifax Rangers could move out of the bottom two with victory at home to third from bottom Halifax Hammers.
In Division Two, second placed Jacks Bar Reserves can take advantage of Waiters' cup fixture by leapfrogging over them into top spot. They travel to an Albert Rovers side who have won only once this campaign.
Third placed Engineers face another major test in their ambition to attain promotion at the first time of asking as they entertain a Queens Head side currently one point and one place behind them.
Fifth placed FC Champs are another side with realistic promotion ambitions. They will be looking to boost their goal difference against a Halifax Rangers Reserves defence that has already conceded 47 league goals in their seven matches.
Church Stile Stallions and Stubbing Wharf have both been inconsistent this season, and picking a winner from their game tomorrow is difficult.
In the final game in this division, resurgent Oddfellows should secure three points against bottom of the league King Cross Reserves.

BRIGHOUSE LEAGUE: Brighouse Sports v rastrick C and AC, Team Forward v Old Pond, Junction Rastrick v Triangle, Eastfield v Top Club, Sun Inn v Pack Horse.
THERE are no Calderdale Junior League fixtures this weekend or next weekend due to school holidays.
