CREWS were called to a factory hit by a blaze for the second time in six months.

Four teams were deployed to the fire at Titan Works in Claremount Road, Boothtown, halifax, just before 3pm on Thursday.

They discovered a chemical spill and smoke coming from the front of the now-derelict factory.

Within a few minutes, the front was engulfed by flames.

It took half an hour to put out the fire.

Investigations are now ongoing to find what caused the blaze.

In May this year, scores of firefighters toiled through the night battling a massive blaze at the same site.

People living nearby were evacuated from their homes until the teams could be sure the huge fire would not spread. At its peak, more than 40 firefighters were called in.
