A self-confessed former football hooligan who has turned his hands to writing and comedy is taking to the stage in Sowerby Bridge.
Eddy Brimson, who has appeared in Absolutely Fabulous, The Thin Blue Line and Casualty, will perform at The Works’s monthly comedy night - Comedy at the Works - on Saturday, September 29.
Eddy is a regular talking head for numerous radio and TV shows on subjects as diverse as football, dodgy builders and sexy baldness and was a presenter on the Bravo TV show The Basement.
Also performing on the night is a comedian with a huge briefcase of props, Geroge Egg.
Hailed, as “a Tommy Cooper for the 21st Century”, he performs a cross between alternative stand-up comedy and music hall variety.
Support will be provided by Pat Murtscher.
Admission is £12.50 on the door or advance tickets can be purchased by visiting The Works or by calling 01422 834821.
Doors open at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm.
Next month’s comedy night is on October 27.
