THE Halifax Food and Drink Festival returns again this summer and for the first time it will be a free event.
Marketing Halifax has now confirmed the event will take place over the weekend June 23/24.
And, it is hoped making it free will attract more exhibitors and visitors.
The festival is now in its fifth year and will showcase the best culinary delights from Calderdale and further afield on various streets in the town centre.
A strong focus will remain on local food producers and restaurants in order to profile the strength of Calderdale’s food and drink sector regionally.
Free cookery workshops will take place again for both children and adults and there will also be lots of cooking action through the festival demonstrations, which are to be delivered by a range of local talented chefs.
Last year’s festival attracted more than 5,000 people with 40 per cent of those visiting from outside Calderdale. email@example.com
